UAB “ALITVA”
Privacy policy
This page explains what happens to the details you send us through alitva.com. We keep it short because the site does very little: there is no advertising, no analytics, no cookies and no third-party scripts. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the quote form yourself.
Last updated:
1. Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is UAB “ALITVA”, registration number 300587547, J. Savickio g. 4-7, Vilnius LT-01108, Lithuania.
For any question about this policy or about your data, write to info@alitva.eu or call +370 627 13444 (Lithuanian, Russian) or +370 640 62696 (English, Turkish).
2. What we collect
From the quote form. Your name, company or farm name, email address, phone number, country, crop, area or volume of interest, the products you selected, your message, the language you were browsing in, and the fact that you ticked the consent box.
From your browser. Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, request time, requested page, browser and operating system — for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify you or to build a profile.
Nothing else. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no social media widgets and loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Everything the page needs is served from alitva.com itself.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
To answer your enquiry and prepare an offer — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, together with your consent under Article 6(1)(a) for the contact details you supply.
To keep a record of commercial correspondence and to comply with accounting and tax law — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, where an enquiry turns into an order.
To keep the website secure and available — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the form and attacks on the site.
We do not send marketing emails, we do not sell or rent data, and we do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who else sees it
Netlify hosts the website and receives the quote form submissions on our behalf. Netlify acts as our processor under a data processing agreement and applies the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to any transfer outside the European Economic Area.
Our email provider, which delivers the notification of your enquiry to info@alitva.eu.
Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp or by opening the map link on the contact section, you leave our site and the privacy policy of that provider applies instead of this one.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Our processors may store or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or by an adequacy decision. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards in place.
6. How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not lead to an order: up to 24 months from your last message, then deleted.
Correspondence connected to an actual order: for as long as the commercial relationship lasts and afterwards for the retention period required by Lithuanian accounting and tax law.
Server logs: a short rolling window kept by our hosting provider for security purposes.
If you ask us to delete your data earlier, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to: give you a copy of the data we hold about you; correct anything inaccurate; delete it; restrict how we use it; provide it in a portable format; or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time — that does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Write to info@alitva.eu and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, L. Sapiegos g. 17, 10312 Vilnius, ada@ada.lt, vdai.lrv.lt), or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
8. Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking technology of any kind. Nothing about your visit is stored in your browser. The quote basket you build on the page lives in the page's memory only and disappears the moment you close the tab.
9. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted. Access to enquiries is limited to the ALITVA staff who need it to prepare your offer. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us passwords, payment card numbers or identity document scans through the form.
10. Children
This is a business-to-business site for professional growers and distributors. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
